And I hate when people pronounce it "subsiduary" instead of the REAL word "subsidiary"

According to The Chicago Manual of Style;

Such forms as "an historical study" or "an union" are not idiomatic in American English. Before a pronounced h, long u (or eu), and such a word as one, the indefinite article should be a:

Eg: a hotel, a euphonious word, a historical study, such a one
but: an honor, an heir

And furthermore, periods and commas should be before, not after, a quotation mark, and it's spelled "honor," not "honour"!
