That a wise man told me one time doing one of our mentoring sessions he said '"Never relish in the praises that people give you; that's today, tomorow will be a different story until you have to come down their street " Oh how I have found that to be sooooo true. I admit that although I do the movie/dinner thang alot with myself and have no problem with that it is by choice. However, I did want to take my friend out to dinner and a movie last weekend. Needless to say that he respectfully declined because of the cold weather....LOL!!
We had some cold and rainy weather here in DC for like four days straight and he stayed in between my home and his. I see that we will be in the house a lot this winter...I guess being an island man he and cold weather don't mesh too well. I said ok fine; I will hit you up when I get back. He was like where you going I said out to eat and movies...hey I am used to the four season weather so I have no problem with it. I guess he thought I was gonna stay in...NOT!!!! LOL!!!
I am learning a lot about JA men dealing with him.

lol, im guilty of that too! I hate it when its cold, i keep a sweater in the car for when i go out to eat! lol Im good for cancelling, due to the weather! He probably doesn't have a lot of winter gear...its cool when u all jazzed up in ya winter gear! lol

Yeah this is my first JA man relationship so I have and am learning alot about JA men period. He been here 5 years and he has some winter gear...He just don't do the cold weather.

Like i said, it don't matter if they mean it or not, its all about the thought and the feeling that someone noticed u...When people give me compliments, i smile like no one has ever told me that before, so much so that guys are like, "Come on now, I know you hear that all the time!" Im like, "Well yea, but i still appreciate it!" Can u imagine, making ur way across a room just to give someone a compliment? I couldn't, or he would have to be really special! lol

U gotta put him on to the sherlings and the boots! lol...When its cold, i know how to dress, if im going out, i still see girls in they likkle skimpy florida gear, cause dem na kno, and its not cold too long, so some folks don't even bother changing up! lol That just looks silly to me to be out in a little strappy dress with open toed shoes when its like 30 degrees! lololol
