FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

Jomo just called me. His area coach came in to talk to him. After, Michelle, the assistant manager in training for his store, who comes back in a month, Andre will do the finishing part of his training, move to another store, and make salary. He's going to a store with the manager who actually hired him. That is AT LEAST $6 more an hour then what he is making now. And, since they work on some bonuses at that level and this store is VERY busy, the potential is there for even more.

She also said that after the required year and a half of being an assistant manager, she sees him with his own store as the manager.

OMFG......it has been so long to this point. I am actually crying right now!
Yes, Yes Yes!!!!!!

Way to go, Jomo!!!

You were always welcome to come over and have a Red Stripe (although he's turning into a bit of a Bud Light man!).

Rich? No. More comfortable in our own minds......damn straight!

BTW, Alex, I never doubted him.

Comfortable is good.
Without spilling too much, I know what its like when a trying man finally sees a break through.
I gurantee that you will see his demeanour strives like a new bamboo shoot.

Re: I admit...

He is not getting a beer gut. He's too hyperactive for that!

Oh, he's been a suck up for a long time now at work. Did I mention he took credit for a lot of my work on the way? HE volunteered to decorate the break room. HE volunteered to take care of publically welcoming all the new people and congratulating promotions. HE volunteered to celebrate birthdays. HE volunteered to organize and mark all the shelves. HE volunteered to train all the new people by using guides he printed from their web site. HE forgot to mention he isn't all that creative or computer literate. Always a team, I suppose...................

He's worked really hard for this for a year and a half now. He deserves it and so much more.

Re: I admit...

IMHO... I am so happy for you and Jomo... Congrats!

I admit that post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but yours did make me think about it... I think it's sad that we have to be so OVERLY cautious when in fact, it should be understood that EVERYTHING we type is obviously our own opinion...

As a writing teacher... I call this "statement of the obvious"

(Again, JG... Not directed at you at all... because we all do it!)

I admit... I also hope Lilly is okay...

IMO,
I admit that my opinion is not necessarily in my opinion but could simply be a general opinion of what I think the opinion of the majority would be. But that's just speaking from a position of personal opinion...IMO.

It is okay, Miss B. I took it as directed at me because I had used IMO twice almost immediately before you wrote that and I wanted to clearify why I use it. I can't say why anyone else does.

I'm overly cautious for obvious reasons. None that have to do with you.

Not the same place, geek. Have you never worked together with someone you love for a common goal that benefits the other person much more then it immmediately benefits you? Geez..................
