I heard on the news yesterday that someone I know very well was murdered. He was beaten to death and found dead in his garage at home.

I'm having trouble coming to terms with this news because this person was a horrible human being. He had tons of kids everwhere by a bunch of different mothers, he abused all his baby-mothers, he pimped a few of them out. Just a bad person in general.

So I'm having trouble dealing with my urge to say it served him right, what comes around goes around, and he deserved it. I feel bad for his kids and some of them are old enough to know thier dad is dead. And they probably have no idea what kind of person he was.

Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? How did you deal with it?

Sorry to hear that. I heard yesterday also that my old high school friend Arika died in Jamaica yeah she was murdered. I was truly shocked. She was an okay girl and I have a small recollection of her. Anyway, JamCAn, everyone deserves a fair chance. God is the Judge. Yes outwardly to you and maybe everyone else he was a 'bad' person but God looks on the heart. It is sorry that children are going to be fatherless, but life goes on. I dont' mean to sound cold but just the way life is.

Again, I am sorry to hear about your friend. I would forgive him. He sounds just like my birth father only that he is not dead (might as well be), but I had to forgive him also and I tried reconciling but he doesn't care for me. Anyway, just keep your head up and remember life goes on baby girl.
