I think you get my point...there are way many more factors that impact how we deal with people than color. We distill it down to color cause it's convenient. The reality is that we are all prejudiced about something. It's how we control our prejudice or let our prejudices control us. Let's all admit that we have prejudice....it's no sin...it's how we're built. I can't add extra eyes and ears...and I can't get rid of my prejudice. But I can recognize that I am prejudiced and make an extra effort to seek out those with different opinions, different backgrounds, different anything....All I can do is expand my environment and my experiences and develop some new prejudices which might be better than my old ones.

do you refuse to date white men?? no? then you are not prejudiced against them. i also prefer to date black men....not because i do not like white men...its that the white men around here (most of them anyway) want women that are size 4 and are not as forgiving of well rounded, full figured women. everytime i go out to a club in my area i do not get approached by white men...the black men ask me to dance. i'm not old fashioned...i also ask men to dance but after getting turned down by more than a dozen white men...my confidence suffered...i now wait for them to approach me...would i dance with a white man or date a white man??? yes. but i prefer black men. that is a preference...not a prejudice.
