Just got official notification that my fiance' visa application was approved for Jomo. Not a surprise, at this point, but a relief to know it wasn't a dream.

I went on the UCIS web site to check where they were in the processing and was kind of disappointed to see they were only at Jan. 3rd and our date was the 24th. Tried inputting the actual case number on a whim cause the site has been down for months. What a surprise when it came up saying "On April 10, 2006, this approved........case was shipped to the Department of State for visa processing." We filed 12 weeks ago today. 12 painfully long weeks.

I busted out crying...I screamed WOOO HOOOO......I cussed a little.....I called Jomo.....I e-mailed/called everyone I know.....I wanted to do a flick.

Now, I am hoping and praying that the Department of State moves it along and off to Jamaica. Could be weeks....could be months. The Jamaican Embassy web site is saying they are at about 12 days from the time you make the appointment till you receive the visa. We are so ready.

2 more days till I head to JA and Jomo and I do some proper celebrating.

My sincerest congratulations girl. The only sad part is that if Jomo is in the states with you, you won't see wonderful Jamaica as often. But hey, I guess for you, that's not the important part. I'm happy for you.

The only reason I go so much is cause he can't come here and we need to see each other. Let's face it, I love Jamaica and all; but at this point I am thinking no more tiring airport trips, plane rides, and hauling luggage all by myself. No more outrageous phone bills. No more two jobs so I can pay for the phone bills and the trips. I can't wait to be with him all the time and just visit JA a couple times a year for pure vacationing.
