|
More time off from work vs. A pay cut.
If you were given more time off; would you take a pay cut?
If you did not have to call in sick so you could take care of the family, or important buisness; because you had more time off from work; but you would have to agree to a pay cut; which would you , more time off , or regular pay?

This is a great question because I DO take the cut for time off. At my job we actually work 37.5 hours a week but only get paid for 35 BUT I get every second Monday off. So YES YES I would do it. I couldn't imagine working for a regular company 5 days a week. I feel fortunate to have this flexibility. And I'm more inclined to schedule personal things for my days off.

So I still take the cut for time off but my days off have switched to every 2nd Friday now.
I still would rather have the time off, its especially awesome when trying to schedule vacations because I use less vacation days.

Did you hear about this? In Japan, companies give their female employees two mornings off each week to go shopping for sales. The corporate thinking being that happy employees are more productive employees.

WTF??????????????? Okay my opinion is does the company PAY Enough to go shopping?? Cuz I don't make enough money to shop.

The women are probably just sales clerks that smile and follow customers around asking "can I help you".
I'd take the time off to do personal business. Hey I already take the time off to be on ETJ, only I get paid for it.
