Yah good call. I have a squeak in my car, only when I'm turning or steering right.

Hey Spice....I have experience with that.

First of all, its telling you there's something wrong. TIP: try turning your coolant cap in really really tight.

Re: Car Help...

Watch it the next couple days. Mine did that on and off for a couple weeks. Some jerk told me it was a head gasket but it turned out to be that my coolant cap didn't seal properly and the car couldn't regulate its temp.

Interesting..... I will watch that. I wonder if that light can go off for cruise control issues??? The cruise doesnt seem to work well going down hill..it kinda gives up.

Re: Car Help...

Sometimes for a myriad reasons( glitch in one of the onboard computers, degrading oxygen sensor, intermiitent vibration that temporarily offset a valve or sensor) your service light will come on.

If it goes back out by itself and never return for an extended period,I wouldnt worry about it.

If it returns very soon, I would take it to a service shop and have them run a compuetr diasnostics on the car.

Shop around, sometimes there are many service centers offering free diagnostics. Just be mindful that for those, 9 times out of 10 they will tell youthat you need to repair/replace something.

That is SOOOO right! When my car over heated because of the coolant cap, the damn shop I towed it to told me I needed a new head gasket!!! s:cornhol

So the mechanic that ended up fixing it for me said that shop would have totally fixed my head gasket, charged me $1000 and I'd be non the wiser. But the real problem only cost me $100 in labor to figure out the coolant cap was unsealed.

I agree.

IF I AM BEING OFF TOPIC< PLEASE SAY SO, BUT>>>>>

Isnt it a fact that when women take their cars to the service shop the men (mechanics, that is) will try to talk down to them and will most times try to "sell" them what they dont need?
