I want to know more about Honda Civic. Anyone got any facts/ideas?

Well...There are 3 body styles (Sedan, Hatchback, and coupe), varying trim levels (EX, LX, DX, HX, Si, etc...). They all have 1.7 litre engine with output of 115hp, however the EX (top of the line model in the coupe and sedan) has a 1.7litre VTEC with an output of 127hp. The sedan is also available in a Hybrid which is a gasoline/electric engine which gives great gas mileage.

The Si hatchback is a 2.0 litre Double overhead cam (DOHC) engine with output of 160hp.

As you can see there is a Honda Civic for almost every lifestyle.

Thanks...I am thinking of getting one soon. I know that Hondas and Toyotas are great cars but my long time thing was to get a Honda. I wanted to also know how is the gas mileage? the transmission? engine? its overral performance? How about the long term peformance after 100,000 miles? You know stuff like that. Thanks again for the info.

In my opinion Honda is synonymous with quality. As far as Japanese cars go I think hondas are made the best. This is based on having owned a Honda and other Japanese cars.

Overall performance is good. I have never heard complaints about the transmission. I drove mine to about 80,000miles before i sold it. The only major problem that i had was the water pump that went bad. Changed it and everything was good after that. Friend bought the car from me and drove it another 25,000 miles and no complaints before he crashed it .

Gas mileage on the Honda civics are around 30-38 mpg, the hybrid is around 50 mpg. All their vehicles are rated LEV (Low Emmissions Vehicle) with the Hybrid being rated as a ULEV (ultra low emmissions vehicle). They pride themselves in surpassing emmission standards, while maintaining perfomance of their vehicles compared to their competitors.

Not the best choice car wise. They are a cheaper alternative and you get what you pay for.

So mi need an upgrade then....cuz a cheap car mi a drive.

Honda Cars are great they r personally my fav model...my mom drives a Honda Civic and it is just the bomb..im even planning on getting the CRV

I am a Honda man still, but mi drive a civic and mi cant sleep at night, i go to sleep at 5 AM.

I had 2 times a Honda Civic and I think their very nice cars, I hardly had any problem with them, and the parts are not that expensive. Now I drive a BWM but Honda will always be my number 2. Good choice PB
