I fully understand what you, and others, have been saying. I think that's where you are having the problem.

Jamaica is where I was born, raised, schooled, and where I currently live, work and raise my family.

I am Jamaican.

Okay, now I understand....You are one of the good Jamaican men beside my husband who is from Browns town and I am proud of you for standing up for yourself but that is just what it is..speaking for yourself and I understand that. Since I come to Jamaica so much which I just got finished with my 20th trip in five years coming to Jamaica the other day, we must meet up and talk over some good "O" Jamaican food....My treat..and when I say my treat that means you are special...just for being a good Jamaican Man! My father was a good man so I know that there are good men upon this earth honestly.. Love you much.

Re: **Having problems with/doubts/concerns about/questions about a Jamaican? Read Here!**

You see, that's what ETJ is all about and I am feeling a lot of love in this room today! I am just a mother and grandmother who has raised nine children--4 of my own and 5 are my grandchildren--Seen alot and done alot and life hasn't been easy but the only peace I find is when I am in Jamaica where I go to the ocean to say all my prayers and to meditate.

God has bought me through alot of storms and I know that after the storm He sends a rainbow for me and I walk in the light of his goodness everyday thanking Him for allowing me to see another day and at my age to look as good as I still do and I don't look a bit over 30. Praise God!

Peace and Blessing Star

Long time, long time me no say nuttin. I agree stereotyping is not a good idea. The whole persona of JA is to be of one love where we a feel much peace no wanting of war. But experience with JA people is the best teacher. Don't let one bad experience cause you to wrongly misjudge an entire group of people. Look around de neighba hood a likkle bit.....LOL......

Re: **Having problems with/doubts/concerns about/questions about a Jamaican? Read Here!**

woiiieeeee...it would seem that one jamaican a get busted fe speaking the truth .
U better tenk Bounty that she a try give unno a heads up.
Unno better go look a man fe unno age, cus if him younger dan you...eh, eh, from a jamaican standpoint its not a good ting.
And if u want him, dont feel that us jamaican women care - and thats it a matter of u taking our men. Beleive me, if he aint married, it cus no body wanted him anyway.
So have it, and best of luck to u.
Write us back in ten years, better yet, 4 years after papers dun final, and tell us how u doing and how him treating u den.
It would be very interesting to know if the boat of love still a float inna de sea of happiness still.
Again. best luck to u and yours, but listen to most of these jamaican women. they know what they are talking about.

1. No, all Jamaicans don't act like the person you're involved with. Jamaican people have different personalities and are individuals - just like people that live wherever it is you came from.

2. Not all Jamaicans take advantage of people. Some do, just as some people in the USA or Canada, or England, or France take advantage of people.

3. If you are gullible, you will find someone to take advantage of your gullibility. Learn to think and act smart with your life and relationships.

4. Yes, if you feel that your Jamaican "friend" is using you, and not treating you with respect, then for crying out loud, stap deal wid dem nuh? Weh yuh a hem an' haw 'bout eeeh? Yuh clearly know weh a gwaan. So unless yuh waan fi get played, step outa di situation nuh? Gorsh!

5. Yes, come to Jamaica, make friends, have a good time, but please, get to know people before you get deeply mixed up with them. It's just common sense.

Tanks.
Dear peeps,

I have been in two different kinda relationships with two jamaican man and I must say... I think that overall these were the first time that I was treated with respect. Jamaican man do have respect for they women and I do not have anything to complain, women in overall like complaining a likkle tooooo much! Thats why they never satisfied with what they get! Praise that I am not a man cuz if I was a man I would pro'ly be in jail for assault and battering charges! My jamaican man always treat me like his Queen, he mek sure he give me all so I do not need to seek for anything with others! However when you do sumthin he don't like.. u betta run.. LOL I think that they are possesive.. but I would be that too.. if I'd had a diamond like myself in hand! wahahahahha Nah seriously trust me.. when woman in overall say they had problems with jamaican man... I think the problem lays within herself, ofcourse there are always sum that like riot but I think every race has that. Jamaican or Dutch, German or english it don't matter! I love Jamaican man... they can cook and turn a gurl out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: **Having problems with/doubts/concerns about/questions about a Jamaican? Read Here!**

lol, jomo is a heck of a patient cook. if i had to wait 4 hours for some food i'd have to go get some biscuits or eat a banana or something! lol the one time i tried to cook i barely even started cleaning the rice and my chef bf took over. (i ain't complaining either! lol). even as we sat down to eat he'd take a spoonful of food and examine it for color, consistency, and texture before eating it.

i've heard about how some men can be possessive to the point of being crazy. a few years ago my bf told me that a dude saw his girl with another man at a party at aqua sol in montego bayand he shot them! (yikes!)

You clean rice???????????? See why he won't even allow me to cook? Seriously, it takes the JA guys I know hours to cook. It is so worth it in the end, if you can survive the wait.

Tia, some men seem to be born jealous. It happens everywhere.
