Respecting the Dead
OK, this is obviously a spin off from LJ's reation to my comment on David Carradine's unfortunate passing in my "Bill got Killed" thread.
What is your concept of giving respect to someone (regardless of your previous opinion of them) who has departed this world?
Let's say, you knew someone who was a real creep and a low-life, for example.... If you had a less than pleasant opinion of him before he died, would you feel obligated to drop or change your opinion of him or to think/say differently in his passing?
Do you share (or disagree) with my opinion that it is more improtant to respect the living than the dead?

Re: Respecting the Dead
hmmmmm...
i personally feel PISSED when watching the news and when somebody is (dirty) dies in the streets from violence, ppl come and (clean) them up after they dead!
i have no problem spitting on the grave of somebody who desreves it (and i cant wait)
say what you will...i dont care!
i do feel respecting the living outweighs respecting the dead.

Phew!
Thanks for the reprieve.
I kinda felt that I would be alone on that.
Granted, I dont agree with defaming someone's character or distorting their memory after they are no longer around to defend themselves, but I think it is of greater importance to respect the living than the dead.
After all, when yu ded and gone, youwont be able to appreciate it anyway.

I only believe in the concept of karma is that the cause and effect of your actionsinfluences your future only within the boundaries of the natural lies of nature as laid down by God. For instance, if you live selfishly, your future life will be affected to the extend of your selfishness, etc.
I dont belive in "bad" karma or Good Karma.

If by defintion, an inclination to always put one's interest before the welfare of others; or to disregard totally the interest of others while being enveloped in self-interest; then Yes..It is a sin.

You as well as many others I believe use the word incorrectly.
You use Karma as a synonym to the word "vibes".
Please correct me if I am wrong on that.

huh? Karma and vibes are two very different things, i can't feel ur Karma, that is ur personal journey, that has nothing to do with anyone else? Except for how u treat them?
vibes is ur energy, that spills out and slaps people in the face, i know i get caught in the line of fire sometimes!
