So then James, what's your point in posting this stuff? Do you have questions you want answered? And do you actually believe its fair to say "Jamaicans", instead of a "few" or "some" Jamaicans? Do you want to have a conversation about it or just keep posting stuff you've copied? What's the deal??
So then James, what's your point in making us aware? Do you have questions you want answered? And do you actually believe its fair to say "Jamaicans", instead of a "few" or "some" Jamaicans?
My point in spreading awareness of Jamaican anti-black hatred is that I don't want people to endure the same kind of vicious, anti-black hatred that I suffered, as well as many other people of African descent, at the hands of Jamaicans. It is no secret that Jamaicans routinely mistreat and abuse blacks, especially Haitians, Dominicans, African-Americans, as well as other blacks in their own country. From my personal experience and my own personal investigation into the matter, I have found that a significant percentage of Jamaicans are racist towards blacks and African culture. However, I want you to understand that my criticism goes beyond merely criticizing the actions of a significant majority of Jamaicans. I am trying to point out that Jamaican society institutionalizes racial hatred against blacks and that anti-black racism is an integral part of Jamaican culture.

I am trying to have a conversation, however I feel the need to post information substantiating what I have said previously about the presence of racial hatred being perpetrated by Jamaicans against people of African descent.
Soooo all this substantiated mistreatment of blacks in Jamaica.....how is that any different than the birthplace of racism.....right in the good old USA??
OH and I don't know too many Africans that like Jamaicans either.
Well although the posts maybe copied and pasted they are sources that he has looked into right? Why are the non jamaicans so defensive when smaddy makes a "negative" statement that is directed towards Jamaicans? Let the Jamaicans come on and defend theirselves if they feel the need to. I'll sit back and wait for Bounty who wil surely have sumthing REAL to add to this thread.

So you feel the need to seek out a 'Jamaican' site and share your experiences. Wow, they must have hurt you real bad.

Racism was NOT born in the US and although I am not American I find that statement offensive! Racism was born in the minds of people from all over the world!

Interestingly enough, people of Jamaican heritage are also discriminated against by Jamaicans. Apparently, just being born in Jamaica or being of Jamaican heritage is not enough to be considered Jamaican. You have to live in Jamaica for a minimum of 20 years and have a full-blown Jamaican accent. Jamaicans are so narrowminded and intolerant! Not only do they mistreat blacks, but they abuse and degrade many of their own people as well!
I think people of African descent should boycott Jamaica. We should stop visiting and sending our money to Jamaica until they learn how to treat black people with respect and dignity. If I were a Jamaican, I would be ashamed of myself.

I'm not defensive - I already said he had some points. I just find his approach a little wierd and extreme as a first post - and one with a clear agenda of someone who knows nothing about this forum and who is on this forum.

He is just asking a question and posting as to what he read about it so far. I think a Jamaican should step up and post THEIR views.
The only thing I dont agree on is the Jamaican flag he posted because that particular flag was ment to symbolize sumthing totally different and NOT that they hate black people.
James Walker, have u ever been to JA? Have you ever been in contact with Jamaicans that have discriminated you? Are the things you have posted YOUR view or are they the view of others that you have found on the internet?
Those are the real questions that need to be asked.
