Is Your Mood Affected by Your Significant Other's?

I am realizing that one of my biggest challenges in a relationship is to not let my moods/feelings be influenced so much by my significant other's. I'm also realizing that I am far more sensitive to things than I care to admit...

How much are you affected by the mood of your significant other?
Do you find that your mood changes if theirs does?

LOLLOL OMG at first I thought you posted about your ETJ mods pissing you off. I was gonna fix the error regardless of whether you asked.

And to answer the question....no, my S.O.'s mood (when I have an S.O.) does not affect mine. I'm one of those peeps that if he's in a crappy mood, I can usually act silly and make him smile.

Yes I am affected by his mood.... so I do either one of three things, tell him to stay away from me until he changes that frown to upside down or I leave to enjoy my time with someone who shares my mood or I proceed tp tell him how much of an asswhole/jerk/d**k/selfcentered f**ker/ donkey, he's being.

I usually choose the latter ... lol lol lol

and my mood affects him as well..... he just stays out of my way.... lol lol lol

Re: Is Your Mood Affected by Your Significant Other's?

I dont like moody people (except for Jammie ) I dont like people that shift moods and that are frequently in bad moods... I hate it!! Dont cum run yu negativity pan mi, he'll be out the door in NO time.. I very rarely have a bad mood and if I do.. I just choose to shut up and not involve other people in it. I am too silly to have a bad mood

Re: Is Your Mood Affected by Your Significant Other's?

I agree GG... I don't like peeps who are negative and moody either (of course, except for Jammie! LMAO)... And my dude isn't usually negative or moody at all... I just noticed that when he is... I seem to feel similarly... I think it is because I am fairly empathetic by nature and so I feel when people feel... y'know?

Having empathy is not a bad thing. It makes you a loving person. It's only natural to been influenced by your S.O. If you enjoy each other you (even) eventually start to look alike.
So just accept the feeling, understand why you feel that way and think it out, i.e. that you have empathy but you did nothing wrong so do dont have to bear the pain as well (if you dont want to)
