The fear of being hurt/let down and/or dissapointed sometimes is the only reason I don't go back..unless those feelings wear in which case things become just physical for me...which works fine because my feelings are no longer invested which means, not looking for a relationship and will move on should an opportunity arise.

But that same fear is what stops me from moving on too... not good. I guess everything in life is a chance, to truly love someone you have to make yourself vulnerable, (there is no other way too truly love). Wiegh the pro's and cons and pray to God for guidence.

Just my two cents.

I agree LadyH... As someone who loves deeply, I've been really hurt... And am much more slow to let myself "fall"... but it is truly the human way to love... our need to love and be loved overrides almost every other emotional need... and it most definitely requires vulnerability... which is scary for all of us... but, IMHO, worth the risk!

This is the story of my relationship...I love him always have always will....there was a tme when it just wasn't right....we loved eachother but he wasn't ready to have me in his life...I let him go with love and told him to come find me when he was ready..I always believed we were meant to be together, i had to be sure and the only way to know was to let him go and wait and see if he did what he needed to and came back.....and he did...and now our love is stronger than ever before.....relationships to me are like sand....the tighter you squeeze it in your hand...the faster it falls out.
