I am 1 centimeter dialated and 50% effaced as of last wed, so i hope more as happened since then. I have been getting the braxton hicks contractions often, but that doesnt mean anything besides the uterus is preparing for labor.

I was hoping for this weekend, but one day down one to go to be this weekend...

LOVE LOCKDOWN

Well what are we supposed to say here about our experiances? Is it about the big day? Days leading up? What?

For me I was having contractions for about 3 weeks. I went to the hospital a week early because they moved to 5 mins apart but they had me go home and wait. So I did. The BIG day was weird. I laid in the bed ALL day, I didn't get up to make or eat breakfast nor lunch, just laid there sleepin on and off and watching Baby Story and court TV shows. At 4pm I was like I"m HUNGRY, and called my husbands cell phone (he was a couple apartment over and a friends), saying come take me to get Chinese food! He asked his usual annoying question. "You hungry? When you want to go? You want me to come now? You ready?" After answering his reduntant questions I swing my legs over to the side of the bed and grab me some panties pull em on and stand up to get em all the way on. And they were wet. I was like, ???. So I took them off and grabbed some more stood up pulled em up and again they were wet, so I thought maybe I have to pee so I went to the bathroom. Nothing. I think maybe my waters breaking. But theres nothing, so I go back to the room and start putting on my pants I stand up to pull em up and again I'm wet. So I say ok maybe this I it starting to break. So I call my hubby back. Never mind chinese food, come take me to the hospital I think my waters breaking. So again he starts with his questions. "How do u kno? Now? So u want to go to the hospital?" He comes we get in the car a he says "We still gettin Chinese food?" So we drive to the hospital im feeling more squirts as we drive, we get out and start walkin to the door and SPLOOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww hot runnin water...
We go in they hook up the machines, do the stick test to confirm my water broke, and we play Scrabble till it's time to go to the delivery room. Once in the delivery room I was having contractions every 4 mins but not really dialating. I was at 2.5 from around 7 to 10 they said I could have an epi till I was at 4 the put me on Pitosin to make the contractions harder and faster. I finally got to 4 at around midnight, and they guy came in and started the epi. Contractions were comming about every 40 seconds and really hard. Then the epi guy came in and turned my epi off cuz he said they wanted me to feel because I was a first time mother needed to feel to push. So I went back to full feeling as far as contractions but I couldn't feel my left leg at all. I was at that point having contractions every 30 seconds lasting 1 min so they decided to turn down the pitocin to give me some "relief". I was still only about 7cm dialated and they were talking about doing a C section which I was AGAINST. So the Dr came in and checked me as I was having a contraction and told me to push once for him. Then said to let me try to push and see if I could push through my cervex. So they propped me up and told me when I had my next contraction to tell them and push. So about a sec later they handed me my left leg LOL and I pushed they were like "Wow get the Dr! Don't puch just wait. The Dr came in got all dressed up and I push 2 more times and there she was. My little Angel. October 8, 2006.
