Diamond Ring

How important is it to you that your fiance gives you a diamond ring when he proposes to you? Would you accept a not-so-great ring from him? Does it matter?

Re: Diamond Ring

It doesn't matter the size, all that matters to me is that his actions are comng from his heart........so if that means he doesn't have a ring but he still proposes that's fine too.....

Re: Diamond Ring

The size and the style of the ring is not important what matters is that he loves me and wants to make me happy.
A ring is a material possession that money can buy, love is something nobody can buy

Re: Diamond Ring

Don't do a cubic, darling. Wait and do it right when you have the finances. Ask without the ring, still means the same. Just don't do it in front of a crowd of family/friends without a ring. This is real advice, Dig!

It wouldn't matter. I'm more hot for the marriage than the ring.
I'm not hot for engagements and their rings. I can buy me some, better yet, I have some.

Re: Diamond Ring

I see yuh. Everybody, Every culture is different! I was engaged for a year, before I had a ring. I didn't care, I was so happy to be asked and in love at the time. But, mi parents vexed mi so about it. They seh stuff like, "Im cyannt get yuh no ring, how im gwaan support yuh." Words hurt, yuh see mi? We yankees and where I'm from status is everyting--house, cyar, job, jewelry, money! I didn't value the ring, but I value my parents/society's approval. I was young then though. I could care less at this point. I'm never getting married again, when this marriage done!

Re: Diamond Ring

What is important that you know the what a ring symbolize.

The metal is hard and lasting!
The gold is the precious value from the heart.
The circle of the ring, means eternal, no ending!
The stone represents you, the reciever and
delivery of all his heart and soul put into this comment!

There is no need for materialistic items to show love,
are heart is the biggest piece of stone there is,
our love is the ring!

Peace!

I don't think it's all that important... my day has brought me to a point where I know what's real, and what's not... I buy my own ICE. Anyway, it's traditional to have a ring, and that would be nice... but if he purposes spur of the moment and doesn't have a ring then it's his intention that's more important!
