It was not meant as an instigation to fight over a man. All I am asking is about you'all's inclination to make a move on a guy that you meet at the same time as another friend, but you are not yetsure of her (your friend's) interest in him as well.

The gist of my query is whether or not you have the gusto to claim first dibs and to let the guy know of your interest in him BEFORE he expresses same to you.

As you and your friend got back to the room, you noticed that she was also beaming, obviously enthralled by this new hunk of a man.

However, now you are beginning to suspect that she is as enamored with him as you are, yet, she makes no attempt to talk about him.

What would you do next?
Would you:

• Start a conversation about him to get her response?
• Jump at first dibs by, openly declaring your interest in him?
• Continue to play it by ear, and wait to see who he eventually chooses?
• Make your move by showing him that you are obviously interested?

• Assume that she likes him, boost yourself up with the "more fish in the sea" theory and just back off?
