Hello! I thought it would be nice to have a thread were parents can do a little bragging about their kids.

My oldest son has been making his own spending money since he was 8 years old starting with a small paper rout which grew into a large paper rout - plus he would cut lawns, rake leaves est. for a bit of extra money. He graduated high school with good grades and a couple of small scholar ships.
After about a year of flipping burgers - he took out a student loan and became a baking chief. He is now working in a German bakery and a couple of weekends ago he and his fiancé dropped by with a couple of loafs of dark Russian rye bread that were heavenly.
My youngest son is a bit of a different story.
He got himself expelled from high school when he was 16 and never went back. To make his spending money he would go to malls – put his hat down and do a bit of juggling or brake dancing. He eventually took a job as a traveling soap sales man and eventually starting making 4 to 6 thousand dolor’s a month in commission. One day he rang a bell in Alberta – his soul mate answered the door and they lived happily ever after. Cheers!

LMAO Samba!!! I see a bit of both his sons in mine. Mine WANTS to go to Germany for college, he's actually studying the language now. He's still in school (thank GOD)!!!!

But at the same time he does stupid things like last week.....he's only 15 and went and bought himself a car! He doesn't even have his learners license yet!!!!! So of course the car got impounded and its now become my problem LOL

I live in a modest two-BR condo (okay, let's be honest here...it's a dump) in a questionable neighborhood. I tell my sons, with an expansive sweep of my hand, "Lads, someday this will all be yours."

Last night i got to chaperon my son's girlfriend's 16th b-day bash. It was fun watching them all hang and have fun! But it KILLLLED me that I wasn't allowed to dance LOL. They told me I better not cuz it would embarrass them.

Thanks JC......I'm so proud of my children it's been a hard battle raising them on my own after I split from their dad and thank God they have turned out to be gems......as for the party thing, trus mi I understand ....at this very second I am in the midst of some madness going on in my front room as these kids and their cousins are warming up for a night out celebarting Tonias birthday......some dance moves a gwarn yah...mi neva si in all a history
