I don't know about Olympics but she does say she wants to go to college on a gymnastics scholarship... I hope she keeps that mind set...

Nigel just came in second on his FIRST competition in track, mind you he was competing against kids that have been training for a whole year and he just started 3 weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant describe how I felt when he ran passed the tribune, it was the best day today!!! I am also so thankful for my family.. His great grandmother, my parents, my aunts, uncle, nieces... my brother.. everybody was there screaming their lungs out!!! It was awesome!!!!!!!

Get some, Nigel! You must be so proud, GG! I luv this thread. It's so uplifting to read each of others' kids' accomplishments and successes. Sometimes they win, and sometimes they lose (which is OK...it's keeps them humble), but the important thing is that they have the spirit to challenge themselves, and with that spirit they'll succeed in life.

I am just getting him into sports, he also swims on Sunday's now, I love watching him loving what he is doing, that boy is has potential!!!!

Just got Serena's test scores in...

She tested 5th grade level in math and 4th grade level in language...

she is going in to the 3rd grade next year... I was so proud of her...

I never had children. But, I have 6 cats who are like my kids. AND they wash, clean and do the toilet thing without all that "training" by themselves. I can also leave them for a weekend without sitters. They go outdoors without havin' to be watched. They give unconditional love except when hungry or in a pissed off mood.
My orange Seamus is a gentle giant who washes all the others. Eric and Erika, beautiful white, long-haired brother and sister, catch moths out on the deck at night with great precision. My hunter Charlie has brought home everything except dogs. Unfortunately he brings them home "half dead" and I have to watch him play with them until the gruesome end. My Samantha sleeps with me on my pillow. Long-haired Minnie is lovable until she gets some kind of short circuit and bites me.
