Have you said or done anything lately that you now consider was overly insensitive, wrong, unwarranted or otherwise inappropriate at the time you did?

Yesterday, I gave my daughter an angry earful after discovering that she allowed her debit account to go into overdraft and incurred a $$$ fee from the bank.


After ten minutes of loudly assaulting her with words like "irresponsible", "negligent" inconsiderate" and "idle", I came up for air.

It was then that she calmly (but still shaken) explained that the overdraft was due to my inadvertantly using her card (instead of my own) to purchase gas last week. <Du'uh!>....

I keep a debit card for her account in my wallet.

You mean, after taking her to test drive an '08 Toyota Scion TC, buying her a new outfit for her dance performance at next weeks college homecoming and giving her $20 on top of the money to correct the overdraft?

I truly appreciate ur acknowledgement of this.... Thank you.

And we all do have our moments.... I included. The nice thing is..that we know how to let by gones be by gones and enjoy what we all have here on ETJ. It would be boring if we weren't a dysfunctional family of sorts.
