Oh and the opposites thing...well I have a theory about that too......if you are both the distant type........there isnt anyone to real the other back in to maintain the closeness part......so smaddy has to be one type and smaddy has to be he other.....me and my theories....too bad all my realtionships havent beneifited from them lolololol

Well I married my exact opposite and he bored me to tears because he couldn't keep up with me in any way, shape or form...

I'm a nerd.... he's.... wellll.... ummmmm.... NOT
I'm a high energy, motivated person.... he's all laid back and doesn't like to get out of the recliner on the weekends....
I am very secure in myself.... he is very insecure
I am very strong and aggressive... he is very weak and passive

etc... etc... the list goes on....

But he was a good, kind-hearted, god-fearing man....

for some reason I need more than those three qualities to be happy????

Well I think you need to have some things in common too. Common interests....do you like the same kinda movies and foods, do you laugh at the same jokes, do you both work out, and fundamental values, the way you would raise and discipline your children, Religious faith, can you have meaningful conversation, and physical attraction, sexual compatibility...those things are all a must,D and I have all these things in common, yet we have have different approaches to some things, we have cultural differneces,things about each that are very different, we accept and even embrace those differences, and know that sometimes they will present a challenge for us. But that exists in every realtionship. I just worry about how independent we both are.....the LDR lends itself well to that......will we be able to manage giving eachother that same independence when we are together.....thats the worry.

I think more than likely you will...

It may take some adjustments...

You will both have to learn to want to have "alone time" at the same time... so neither is left wanting...

Well 1st the core values.....and faith are biggies for me too....I do not believe you can make any relationship work if you don't share those.....I wouldnt even try......in fact I wouldn't even be attracted to smaddy who didn't have the same values.....I am a humanitarian through and through.....that comes through in everything I do and I need to be with someone who can if not share in, at least support my efforts, but whats really attractive to me is a man who cares about humanity the way I do....
