I disagree!

The GREATEST, TRUE LOVE..is LOVING THYSELF FIRST.

...and you can't get more selfish than that.

Also, I would leave another to be with someone I was IN-Love with - if and ONLY if I knew it was a mutual feeling. But then again, If I loved the person I was with but it wasn't a happy situation, I would leave anyhow - even if it meant to be on my own.
Somehow I just can;t seem to agree with the statement:

jjWhile loving one's self is absolutely important prerequisite to truly loving another, love of self (I believe) des not exemplifies "TRUE" love. Lovong oneself IS a selfish action, but this is based on first instinct.l TRUE love can only be proven TRUE when this love is freely given with no intended motives.

Can it be given by accident? Like if you can't help it?

I'm confused - Are you saying you don't agree with what I said or it took you years to figure it out?

Because with my experience, what I said and what I agree with has actually hit very close to home with me in my past.

Well certainly there are different kinds of love.
Some of which can not be helped but comes natural. Such as the love of a parent for a child.

If by "accident" you mean that you had no original intentions to fall in love? Of course .

But that doesnt really discribe the KIND or QUALITY of the love, that just specifies how one CAME to be in love.
Esentially, I believe that True love (in a relationship) is possible from the get-go but its validity can only be affirmed over time.

True yet it kills you inside when there is no one on the receiving end...
When you love so deeply and it becomes unselfish... there is no way of understanding a person wouldnt want that, especially if you are teh one that knows the love you have for them is pure

Re: Love 'em or leave 'em?

do not doubt yourself and your heart GG, just because someone else is afraid to love as hard as you do...

keep loving... keep giving... and take joy in yourself.
