Even HE sees it. I agree with the points you raised above. But to say that you don't SEE a person's skin color and all of the social and political connections to it is just the equivalent of burying your head in the sand, JG.

I agree... we should all speak our minds... but perhaps we need to try being a little more selective about when/where/how we choose to do so...

we are all different indeed and that includes in our sense of humour. humour can lift the darkest of moments and darkest of topics. i'll give you a personal example. there was nothing funny about my mother dying of cancer but she/we got through it with laughter.

i think the glib humurous comments in this thread were more directed at the same old 'disagreements' about the same old things NOT the subject of race.

I have often thought that, LS. No matter what was rumored to have gone on behind the scenes, I always respected his words in public. I admit I hated him with a passion some days; but, we always made our peace and moved on. I will never stop saying I miss him.

What is the same old subject to you is life experience to me, this thread is about Racism! so excuse me if I dont share your sense of humour
