lord have mercy on this thread...but i say to a degree i do agree to the comments made by the man of the thread...this is because i think black ppl are more inot family and principles and see larger families as our stregnth...

sometimes genrealizations are true!!

but its just generally speaking...but i think as times changes so do values and ppl are having less kids and chosing to do so because the expense of it also black ppl are into the work place more and deeper so we have no time to be hainvg babies like we used to...like maybe our parent and grand parent...

my granny had 13
my mom had 5
and i have 2...

times are a changing

Yes they are...

and I also think that you see more children where less can afford them... not necessarily black... but lower income communities because poor people can not afford birth control but sex is free... you see me?

A lot of lower class income people can not afford birth control pills or to get their tubes tied or whatever... but they still have sex... and they still make babies...

Or that is my thought anyway...

and I am not trying to offend anyone... not saying that ALL lower class income families or people just have baby after baby... but I think it rings true a lot of the time.

I nuh see nubadi mention di chinese ppl dem, a dem love a pikney. In my humble opinion its quite possible that poorer demographics of all races may run a close second.

How do these threads manage to get so far off topic? :P

Last I heard, the Chinese government discouraged more than one child per family and their society favors the male offspring (leading to the termination of female offspring). You do have a point though...status/wealth/culture does seem to have quite an impact on the number of offspring. For example, look back into American history, those American's who were primarily in farming often had bigger families (no matter the race). Today, migrant hispanic families tend to have large families. Now look at the Japan, what are they at now .8 child per couple?
