I like the Negril area, but the parish is called Little London. I have looked online under Sangster's Realty, but I couldn't find anything in the area that I was looking for. There's alot in areas like Spanish Town and Ocho Rios.

Ive never been to Negril - maybe this trip - so cant help you out there sorry.

You are so lucky. I'll only be there for 10 days. Do you know of any hotels that are resonably prices. It doesn't have to be a resort type, but some place comfy.

Update on the social security card and bank thing......the lady now says it takes 4-6 weeks for the bank's systems to be able to pull up a new social security card.

Guess by January, we should have him on my bank accounts.

Has anyone heard about the new supreme court ruling on immigrants with drug charges not being deported back to there countries? The case about the mexican Jose Antonio Lopez. I have the article if anyone cares to read it.

"My friend was in the US for five years before he got into trouble and was sentenced to 2 years in jail and then deported back to Jamaica. This year will be four years that he has been back in Jamaica and he was told he will need to remain there for 5. His mom, dad and sisters all live in the states. I'm lost on what to do. Should we start the process of the finance visa or contact a lawyer.

I had heard about the ruling. Something about people losing ties to their countries of birth, getting into trouble, and then being dumped back to those countries.

I think I would contact a lawyer or someone who can advise you before you even start the visa process. It is difficult enough as it is, without adding those kind of complications.

I guess I should add this here to show what happens after and is so ongoing......

Jomo applied for a MO state ID on the 22nd.

Jomo took the driving permit test 5 times (don't ask) before he passed. Went to pay for the permit and couldn't cause the state ID info was not in the system yet. They now send State IDs to capital and run an FBI check before mailing to you. More waiting!!!!

The bank did finally get everything straightened out and he is on the bank accounts now. You just have to wait for their system to catch up to the Social Security system.

thanks jg! i actually came across this address and thought it was the old address. apparently liguanea is still in kingston? i changed kingston to liguanea on my immigration forms and now i get to change it all back again...boy this is so much fun!

the i-129f packet is 50 pages long and still growing!
