Jomo's girl nah do too bad.
Re: How do u bring someone from JA over to the States?

They usually do, Tia. I, of course, have to go reapply for mine. Lost it somewhere already.

Next step for us is a Missouri ID for Jomo. We need to put the passport in the safety deposit box so as not to lose it. Up till lately, it has been the only ID he had. So, as soon as we can add him to the bank account and get an official piece of mail with our address on it for him, we will head up there and get that. He may take the written driver's test at that time too. He's been studying. Then, I will let him practice more. I have been reluctant to let him practice too much for fear if he wrecks the consequences would be more then I could take right now. Thinking of just paying for driving lessons. I work so many hours it might be more convenient if someone else were to teach him when it is convenient for Jomo.

Can you believe the paperwork and steps you have to go through? It has been 11 months of paperwork and red tape. I suppose by the time we are done, it will have been a whole year. Hard to believe!

Re: How do u bring someone from JA over to the States?

Im really happy for you JG & I wish you all the best in your future.

If im honest, im actually not looking forward in starting my Husbands paperwork...

Im in the UK and the British Consulate in Kingston has the highest visa (any visa)refusal in the world out of all its offices through out the world.

Dont get me wrong People do get through but it's tough and they will find the smallest or stupidest thing to turn you down.

I have heard that, glad when we moved to UK over 4 years ago the visa was not implemented yet, it came into affect when we were already in UK!

Re: How do u bring someone from JA over to the States?

I think that would be worse. (getting deported). Who knows what kind of job or family or ties that he got up here and then he's got to go back??? Then again...who knows if the (deported) can ever come back too?
