Sometimes I think it is because someone sees how happy your SO makes you.....the things they do for you.....the fun you have......the love you share.....and they want that. It's that grass is always greener thing. Unhappy people or lonely people....they want the happiness or whatever they thing you have and they think it is just your SO that will make them happy.

i think it comes down to lack of self-esteem and an attempt to boost ego. i have a rule now that i dont go near someone elses man and i stick to it. in the past thats all i seemed to go for because i didnt love myself, and nobody else seemed to love me so for a man who chose to risk his love for his partner by being with me, at the time, seemed like a huge ego boost. it makes you feel important. thats my experience.

You do realize there is someone out there with feelings and being hurt by your actions , right? You are enabling men to cheat on women that love them and that's not right. You mentioned not wanting to get hurt, so I guess you can imagine the pain it causes. The typical response i hear from women is "he's the one committed to her not me" attitude but, at the same time men wouldn't be enabled to cheat if there were not women out there willing to give them the oppurtunity to.

If you know what it feels like to be hurt, why would you want someone to go through that?????? Like they say "The hurt, hurt people"

It's based on insecurity. A woman see's a dude with his girl, trying to play the eye contact game, that boosts her ego. She probably thinks to herself "dang look at that dude checking me out while he's with his girl!" That is definite insecurity & low self esteem. Plus even if you didn't know that he had a girl/wife, and still was willing to be the "sideline" girl...it show's your character and that you're willing to be second best.
