REFLECTIONS

A different time, a different when,
It’s different now from how it was then
It didn’t turn out the way I had pictured the end
Things have changed, makes no sense to pretend

Over the years many things I have seen
Sights that would make you happy and those that would make you scream
Many things I’ve heard, many things I have dreamed,
Many things I’ve learnt, many thoughts I have esteemed

Experience I’ve gain from the experiences I have had
Changes I’ve made because life changed good things to bad
Resistance I’ve built up to face the resistance I’ve been stuffed
Stronger I’ve become, compared to when I just begun

The End is drawing near, I can feel it in the air
My ride is almost over, the final stop I can see very clear
As I sit back and reminisce, I can say I enjoyed every minute of it
Even the days I spent sick, who’d have thought they would pass away so quick

The younger you are, the older you want to get
But when your number starts to climb, you wish it could be reset
To those who walk this path after me, try and enjoy every moment of your life
You’ll never know when the sun will go down and it is your final goodbye and not just goodnight.

Such a nice message in there. I dunno why kids are in such a hurry to be adults! And adults take so many things for granted.

Lovely.... It made me contemplate a few things.... Life is def to short...Kinda sad in a way though because the most important people in my life i only see a few times a year....

I am going to print this and hang it in my cube.
