What does Jamaica and ETJ mean to me? It can be answered with one word: Everything!!! Before I found Jamaica I would sit over in my easy chair, watch TV and have no sense of direction in life. Having lost my soulmate a little over 5 years ago made me complacent with the rest of my life. A cruise to the Caribbean with a stop in Jamaica changed it all. I spent the day traveling around the island as much as I could and when I returned to the ship, I could not think of anything else but Jamaica. When we berthed in New Orleans a few days later, I did the most impetuous thing I've ever done in my life and booked a flight back, and was in the air 2 hours after booking. I confirmed my feelings on that second trip that Jamaica people are loving and caring, and that the island offered me everything I've always wanted - warmth, flavor, love, excitement, beautiful scenery and wonderful healthy food. I have since traveled back to Jamaica three more times, making it 5 trips in less than 8 months. To further my love for Jamaica, I searched the net and came upon the ETJ board. I immediately sensed the people to be warm and caring, and have the same deep feelings for Jamaica. They have great senses of humor and acceptance for all into the ETJ family. To confirm my feelings I have vowed to meet every active ETJ poster and have now met six of them. The change in me has been very dramatic. I have stopped watching TV, cancelling my dish service, and long for my daily hookup on ETJ instead. There has been lots of resistance to my new found love by my friends and family. Some have told me to my face that I am crazy and try to warn me of unfounded dangers. I will not be deterred from my fruitful ambition of living there and becoming the new woman transformed into an islander. Peace and Nuf Love, Jamaica Miss
