I don't know if any of you have heard about a book written about AI's Fantasia. Well in the book it is disclosed that she cannot read. There has been a whole lot of hoopla on the radio about it. Basically what is being said if you have not already heard is that the book about her plays into every stereotype about people from the hood especially, getting pregnant, dropping out of and not being able to read.

I personally think that is silly. I think that this girl has been presented with an opportunity that many people do not get and at this point the public should be happy that this girl from the hood made it out despite her circumstances. I think that makes her an inspiration to those that are in same situation People are saying that by her being in the public eye that she may cause other teens to think it is ok to be a teen parent and/or drop out of school. People act like she is going to raise the iliteracy and high school dropout rates single handedly. It's just silly to me. Shoot look at how many people piss away opportunities daily at least she is making the most of hers. Ok well let me get off of my soapbox and let you express your opinion.

Well, Ms. Butta, I can see why they are raising such a fuss and I can see why they shouldn't....

Me personally I think all news is good news as far as her Career goes, but if she wanted to quell the rumors and come out looking like a champ, all she should do is get some tutoring and go get her GED... Take some college courses... Humanize herself in letting them know that the "dig" did get at her but that she is making steps to be a great role model to her child as well as the hundreds of adoring adolescent fans.

If I was her PR person, that is what I would tell her to do anyway.

I think this is crazy! What will make her any different to the teen eye than any other rapper, singer, actor, etc. that hasn't had the perfect life? They have been picking on her since day one...trying to take the title of American Idol back an many other things. Just leave her alone and let her be!

I agree. Unfortuanely for some people it's human nature to focus on the negative. I think her critics should put away the jug of Haterade and get a grip.

Although... nobody is supposed to be an "Idol", but I think she will be alright.
