*Brad Pitt And Jennifer Aniston Separated*
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston (news) have separated after 4 1/2 years of marriage but remain "committed and caring friends," the couple said on Friday.
"We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate," Pitt and Aniston, who first met on a dinner date in 1998, said in a joint statement initially published by People magazine on its Web site. "For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media," the statement said. "This decision is a result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another. We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months." Pitt, 41, current starring in the big-screen crime caper "Ocean's Twelve" and former "Friends" star Aniston, 35, were married in a lavish, celebrity-studded wedding in the seaside California resort of Malibu in July 2000.

LOL its funny how if any regular people were to break up no body knows or cares. But when its a celebrity couple.....LAWD it becomes headline news. Is this really a surprise? Do we know ANY Hollywood couple that's remained a couple for the long term? I think not.
Tidbit: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have a house up here near where I live.

It just tells you that man is just man, don't care how famous you are they are human too, but the sad thing with famous people is that your business is all over the world when us normal people who have no big name can hide away in private when things go wrong.

the thing is 90% of superstars get divorce...and its always b/c lack of time together or big egos...what i dont get is it took you time to get to know each other....what happen wit that time...all of a sudden after marriage that time becomes meaningless. i think most of them get married for carreer reason. maybe they are good friends and say "hey i need som publicity...lets get married..it would be good for the both of us."

some good points there, but I think it boils down to boredom, they have so much money they don't know what to do with themselves and after all varitity is the spice of life for them as they have it all. Why they did not have a baby, because of career, come on, look how much money they have, they don't have to work ever again, but keeping in the public eye is more important to them. Dam fools.
Don't know what he saw in the woman as she aint all that.
