I have been watching it for the last 4 weeks or so and sorry but I like YaYa (not sure re the spelling) but she is the slim black chic. Very strong, educated and intelligent black woman. I am glad you reminded me I need to go and vote. But Eva is not a people person, that girl has an attitude. Just my opinion.

I don't know any models that AREN'T divas! I haven't watched this season but I'll be watching tonight just to see who they pick. I remember people saying negative things about the strong black Jamaican girl last season. So, what? That industry is fierce and whoever wins will need to have a damn backbone because none of the other DIVA'S will welcome her in the dressing room with an apple pie, okay?

Much respect for that comment. When you strong and show you intellgience and confidence in yourself you have all the haters waiting to tear you down and when you act silly and fofool people talk same way you just caan please nobody but yourself. So go Yayah go . Go get em girl.

JamCan the girl ok compared to Yaya she just ok. But you have a point and I dont see why everyone is getting worked up. I have never really watched this show or any of its previous seasons as I think its crap and the only reason I started watching it 4 weeks ago was because I was channel surfing and saw Yaya and I was at least them have someone on there look like them have sense. But the fact that Eva wins just highlights the shallowness and the fact that when someone has a little education and it shows people feel threatned and think they are not humble. Also Tyra felt threatened because Yaya is not the normal numbskull model and Tyra see her as a potential rival as she has sense like Tyra and is going to go places.

These are my thoughts on the matter.

Rentjamaica, I hear exactly what you are saying. There is no doubt that Eva is a strikingly beautiful woman. But, SO IS YaYa. When are we going to look outside of that cookie cutter California look to recognize other types of beauty? I thought that was supposed to be at least one of the purposes of this show. Tyra always says she wants her show to be a catalyst to break the barriers on what is perceived as beautiful in the industry. How will that ever happen if the judges continue to select winners from the same stale mold? Now, both Eva and YaYa are beautiful but just in different ways. YaYa's features are just as striking and she has a body to die for. YaYa exudes grace and style in everything that she does, a quality that is rare indeed, yet needed in a Super Model. Clarity of thought, composure and tact is also needed. I don't see any of those qualities in Eva. Her gestures are tomboyish. Her outbursts are awkwardly and embarrasingly inappropriate. I couldn't see her being a spokesperson for any product at this point. Well, she could take Free's job as the co-host on 106 & Park, so what does that say? But, she has a pretty, bubbly, commercial face and that's what they wanted. On this show, it doesn't seem to matter if you can walk (remember the winner from last year?). She was AWFUL! Mercedes murdered her in the final competition but the other girl (I can't even remember her name) won because she also had a cookie cutter face. So that tells me they'll never choose a woman, black or white, that looks OUTSIDE of the mold, ever. That's the problem I have with the choices.

My girl you are right in so many respects. She can also go tek Frees's space. But for real I saw her at this after party thing and they were interviewing her on TV and I was embarrassed for her. No composure or self control whatsoever. I was like look at that. She will never be taken seriously. I would never user her to endorse any product I own because you just dont know what will come out her mouth next or what she will do next. No class whatsoever. Did you see her when she got the pearls from the Japanese guy in one episode even he look flabbergasted by her reaction to the free pearls.
No tact.

Anyway thats my piece once again
