I believe the sentence was handed down to him because of his snotty attitude through the whole thing, until the end when he became contrite. And the excuse of listening to financial authorities wouldn't cut it with me as a judge. We ALL know we have to file a tax return each year and he did too.

I don't think he is a hardened criminal by any means. However, he PUBLICALLY stated all that it's illegal to collect taxes from me crap with attitude. Now, he's acting like he had no clue what he has done. Whatever. If he had been a little more accepting of his wrongs, I might feel differently. As it is, being in the public eye and snubbing your nose at the law....I think he got what he deserves.

Besides, 3 years....one of which is supervised non-prison time....how much of that 2 years will he really then serve? A month?
