I once called in sick so I could be at the record store the minute they opened on the day my favorite band released a new CD.

Fortunately for me, he's not that well known up here so I didn't have to line up at the record store.

Okay so here's my official review of the CD.

Musically, its superior to his first CD....by far. And a much better mix of rythyms, just better music overall.

Lyrically I don't know if its as good on the whole, although there are a few songs that are written really really well.

Track #4 is THA BOMB!!! Completely different from the rest in every way....music and lyrics and his singing style. Track #7 is awesome too....makes me feel like old home, kinda like that family song on his first album.

I absolutely LOVE the way John Legend is produced, mixed and mastered. Always have. They always make sure the kick/bottom is really pronounced but doesn't outshine the rest of the mix. I love bottom end.

No complaints at all except in the song or two where it sounds TOO much like drum machine.

I have to say, after loving every track on the first album (Get Lifted) I was seriously disappointed with the second (Once Again)....

I've played it three (3) times since I bought it in October (that in itself tells you....) and I'm still struggling to find one track that I like......

Jelakins, same here! I think I wasted my money buying the second album. The first was soooo good!

OMG what di hell!!!! LOL. I do have my fav's on the second album but I was much more hooked on the first.

Well maybe since the first was so damn good I was expecting the second to be the same....oh the disappointment
