Re: most offensive fashion crime?

My most offensive fashion crime was my hair style in 1989. My hair was bigger than my body and Ive tried my best over the years to destroy all photos of it.

Re: most offensive fashion crime?

People in the U.S. not "dressing up" to fly. I was very impressed when I was in Italy last year that people seemed to dress up for a domestic flight (Rome to Catania). Jamaicans also seemed to be well dressed for the flight from Montego Bay to Kingston.

In the U.S. a lot of people wear their pajamas, shorts and flipflops onto the plane. It's not really a big deal but after traveling a bit overseas in the past 3 years it's really noticeable once you get back home. It's like "what is everyone wearing???"

I'm not good when it comes to fashion so I cheat and get lots of help from female friends.

Wasted material.
If you want a rubberband, use a rubberband.
I don't know what all the extra material is for...I find them ugly!

Don't get me wrong, I've used scrunchies when I was like 9 or 10, but we're talking fashion mistakes here...you reach an age where you gotta leave the scrunchie alone. If you're a grown ass woman still using a scrunchie, upgrade the hairdo.

Re: most offensive fashion crime?

lol... rubberbands break your hair... scrunchies don't...

but I use material elastic bands with no metal on them... I often wear a ponytail in my hair... just because I don't want to cut it and it is too hot on my neck.

Re: most offensive fashion crime?

LOL.
I don't know what else to call them, not really rubberbands...but elastic bands.
I wear my hair in a bun for work almost everyday and a I use a plain black elastic band.

Scrunchies are just...I dunno, I don't care for them. Even saying "scrunchy" gives me the heeby jeebies. I know, I'm such a weirdo!

Re: most offensive fashion crime?

I do use scrunchies in my daughters hair...

she is 8... they generally match whatever she is wearing... I'm big on matching.

or I twist my hair up and use a large clip to hold it from the underneath... then the curls fall down all around
