Skin Care and Make-up

I have really bad skin....sorry is true...it's been over 12 years and so I think i've just gotten used to it...neways. I went to a meeting about this. Very educational...in fact I learned that as soon as young girls get to 12 or 13 in Europe their mothers sit them down and teach them that skin care is For REAL important and teach them how to tek care of them skin. I believe that should also be a tradition in the west.

And for heaven's sake EVERY woman should get educated on make up...seriously. How come that is not one of the most important things in our culture...or am I just out of the loop?

Re: Skin Care and Make-up

I would say, for one because skin care is not really a big issue for most African American women. We were blessed with an abundance of melanin and for what ever reason for most people it keeps most of the problems other races suffer from away. (You know you've heard the saying, Black don't crack) I think it just wasn't a big enough problem for us to care much about the random breakout or two.
