Well, sitting on a log at Long Bay Beach in Portland eating some Jerk Pork & watching each wave come in, I had that "Whoopi experience". What makes this so cool to me is that I'm a born & bred Jamaican & I STILL find MY island breathtaking.
If you live in Kingston and get caught up in the day to day hustle, it's easy to forget about the beauty of the island we live on. That's why every now and then, I get in the car and just drive. Now, sometimes I get that "Whoopi experience" looking out my windows.

Carefully and a little bit shy trying to touch it with the fingertips the eyes full of scepticism. (Maybe it bites and nobody told me before...)
I saw "snow" for the first time on my last trip to Toronto. It was hovering between 8 and 12 degrees C and I looked out the window and saw something looking like confetti falling. They told me it was a snow flurry. I got all excited. Everybody laughed at me. They said it wasn't "real snow"

It's human nature to take for granted what you have. We appreciate Jamaica as much as you appreciate the USA.
