Coming to Jamaica in August for a 4-5 week holiday. Stayed in Negril for a month in 2007. Couldn't get back in 2008 as the plane fares were so high, so went to Barbados and was very disappointed. Not sure which part of Jamaica this time, so looking for some advice. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children, 15, 13 & 9 and we prefer the company of locals rather than others holiday makers. 1 Self catering villa preferably with pool and decent sized grounds.
2 Close to beach and not too remote.
3 Advice on competitive car hire for 4-5 weeks.
4 Is it possible to use a mobile broadband dongle with one of the local telephone networks such as Digicel.
5 Are there any good markets to visit and on what days?
6 Is there a simple way of topping up a Digicel mobile online?
