Reggaediva nah do too bad.
Re: ReggaeDiva's mandated trip report

OK, so now that I have a minute and the site seems to be working properly - here's the beginning of the extended version:

We left NY at 12:30 pm on Friday - Crowded flight, and my typical luck, we were seated next to a couple, a grandmother, and two whiny whiny spoiled children. Now, I love kids - But I can't stand parents who feed into their child's whininess and make it worse - When we finally landed, the grandmother picked up the little boy and was standing next to me, letting him swing and kick his feet without paying any mind to who he was kicking - After the 4th time he kicked me, I let her know that she needed to move or put him down -

We got off the plane and headed to immigration and customs - It seems like every time I travel to JA, they have changed something at the airport - the nice thing about the change this time was that there was AC in the immigration area. Once we made it through all that, we got our luggage and found our driver from Clive's transportation - I always use Clives - love his service, great drivers, great prices. The driver (also named Clive, but not the owner) asked if we would mind if he picked his wife up from work downtown so that she didn't have to take the bus, as they lived near Ochi - No problem with us.

We had a nice chat with Clive and his wife Allison on the way to Ochi - talking about music and shows, and Rebel Salute - they were planning to go, so we exchanged numbers in case we needed a driver to take us, as I was definitely going. We arrived at Rooms on the beach at about 6:30 pm or so - at first glance, the hotel was nice, but way above our typical place to stay, lol - We usually book someplace small, or, depending on the island, rent a house or an apartment - never the bigger hotel - But, it was a cheap deal, so we went for it. We checked in, dropped our luggage, went downstairs to grab something to eat, and then back up to take a nap - we both crashed out and woke up at around 11pm! We did the mad dash through the shower, then headed out to find Amnesia - we knew it was the spot to go, but didn't know where it was!

We walked up to the front gate and asked the security guard which way to Amnesia, and was it walking distance - He gave us directions, and then proceeded to tell me he was going to marry me - NOT! He was all of 5'3", and not attractive - Plus, I don't get the mentality of these men who think a woman would be flattered by a line such as that, especially when it is the 2nd thing out of their mouth! He asked our room number, and I gave him the wrong one (I didn't know at that point that they recorded the number each time you left, lol) - My friend, clueless one that she is, started to correct me and give him the right number!

We walked up towards Amnesia - 10 marriage proposals / offers to take me away from my man later, we arrived in front of Mothers, which we knew was right next to Amnesia - There were a bunch of cabbies outside, and one tried to tell us that we needed a cab if we wanted to go to Amnesia - finally, we reached the club. The club was packed - mainly locals, more so than I am used to seeing in Negril, especially with the women. The music was nice, and we got a drink at the bar.

We found a little corner, and I was standing by myself trying to enjoy the music, continually having to turn down men - One of whom gave me the line that he was going to steal me from my man - I tried to be polite, but he had the WORST breathe I have ever encountered, and crumbs of food stuck in his beard! I had had enough, he wasn't getting the hint, so I told my friend I was going to the restroom and then getting us another drink.

I went to the bathroom, finally fought my way near to the bar, got drinks, and started to head back through the crowd to my friend. Suddenly, I felt a hand touch my side - I looked around, but couldn't see who had touched me or figure it out - however, something about that touch just felt so right, it felt like it was meant to be......
