Well I understand if you can qualify to be a principal that the pay is more like something you can live on, but have not researched enough to find out what In Jamaica are the qualifications yet. If you plan to work as a teacher, plan to do that and something else also. I have visited some Jamaican schools on my trips and corresponded with some teachers from there. They work just as hard as I do. They are doing amazing things with little to no resources, and they are paid less than some people I know who are Bartenders. Its a shame really. Just like everywhere else in the world the priveleged get the best education. There are private schools that you can find The wealthy Jamaicans and foreign people send their children to. These institiutions offer better teaching salaries, but its extremely difficult to get hired there.
