Ok...
So he walked up to me and we hugged and shared our first kiss

We then walked over to the car and committed my first faux-pa, I went to the passenger side (American)! lmao He was like you actually need the other side. So, we proceeded to drive to Clarendon and about an hour into the drive I had to go pee really bad so we stopped at a roadside bar and the lady let me use the restroom. He offered to get me some KFC for dinner and I was like nope, I came here to experience your country and I would like some Jamaican food! We stopped in Brown's Town and I was a little uncomfortable with the stares as I have never been to another country other than Mexico. We then decided to stop in St. Dacre and he bought some chicken with rice and peas (this was interesting because they call red beans peas? What do they call actual peas then?) He also bought some curried goat and it was yummy but we laughingly said it should be called curried bone! lol After that, we arrived at his family's house in Clarendon and he proceeded to tell me some things he had failed to mention before my trip...
1) There was not always running water. (We only had 4 days of actual running water.)
2) He showers under the hose out back.
3) No air conditioning.
No biggie as I am an Anthropology major and I am very open to trying different things. It was actually nice showering under the stars but JG was right, it was COLD! lol On the days we didn't have water we used these cute little basins.
Ok so, the first couple of days we stayed in and watched some movies and started to get used to each other. It was a trip being in person rather than on the phone but it was so great!
His best friend came over and we watched Leon (in the States I think it is called The Professional?) We took some pictures and I had such a hard time understanding his friend's accent! When I didn't understand something my sweetie would translate. lol
So, here's the pics from that day:
