The President's Invitational Chess Tournament begins tomorrow (August 12, 2006) at the Norman Manley Law School, UWI MONA. The opening ceremony will be at 1 pm , and the first round will begin promptly at 1:30 pm.

The tournament will be played alongside the National Championships, where FM Warren Elliot will be defending his title from last year.

This years President's Invitational will be played with 11 competitors who are:

The tournament will take on a slightly new style in the points system, it will take on a "football" type point scheme ( loss = 0, draw = 1, win = 3)......
