so the ladies are waiting very patiently for oliver to come in from work. dwellinginwis was really hoping she could meet him but her ride to negril showed up before and she had to go. we're all still sitting on the verandah and it's around 11pm when here he comes chatting patois on the phone and making arrangements for our ride "fi go a 'fest." we all snicker because he's holding the phone 6 inches away from his face and practically yelling into it so his friend can still hear him. seems like lots of guys do that, i guess they're trying to avoid smudging their phone lol. he pauses from the conversation to say goodnight to us and after he wraps up the call i introduce everyone. he's heard tons about jc and jomo's girl this week and since they both have "k" names i had to show pictures and say "this is kristi, my friend from canada who won the trip to see sumfest; and this is kelly, my friend from st. louis who just married a jamaican and you talked to them on the phone a few weeks ago.

with introductions out of the way he heads into our room to get ready. once he's showered and dressed we head upstairs and his friend is waiting with a van to take us to sumfest. as we're standing in line i can hear gyptian wrapping up and i am soooooo disappointed because i was looking forward to seeing his performance.
