I have one of those flat surface stoves.... so I have to wipe up after EVERY spill like JAM. If I don't then it will burn into the stove and I'll ruin the stove! If I find out that I missed a spot, I use AJAX powder.. it removes everything! If you have a flat surface stove make sure you dilude the powder with a good amount of water so you don't get those little nicks in the stove surface!
