Re: Blacks in danger of losing their rights to vote ......

I am not arguing that point. I think everyone SHOULD vote. I am the biggest pro-voting advocate out there. I believe that a person should not complain about any government issue at all if they are not exercising their right to vote. Just Complaining about something does not change a thing. Jomo is given the option of becoming a permanent resident (with no voting rights) or a citizen. While I do not care what he does, when asked what I think, I told him if he chooses the option where he cannot vote, I never want to hear him complain about any governmental policies of any kind.

I am not arguing about black rights. Or Asian Rights. Or Bosnian Rights. Chinese...Greek.....Or any alien rights for that matter. I believe everyone should have the EXACT SAME rights no matter where in the world they are. But, realistically, that is not how it is.

And you are still missing my point. NO EXTENSION SHOULD BE NECESSARY is right. I am just saying that lawmakers very rarely take the logical route and they tend to NEVER EVER rock the boat. Likely, if this were an issue, they would not correct the wording to what it whould be. They would do the easy thing and extend. Not saying it is the right thing to do or even the right wording. I am trying to point out I think lawymakers are a stupid lot of people who never do the logical thing like correct past mistakes. That's it.
