I should fix something I said just a few posts up. Even though I read over and over again that he needed a Social Security Number to get a marriage license, when I called city hall, they said we could just use his passport number. That is the reason we were able to get married so quickly.

I tried that same luck with the SSA and they still told me he had to have a work permit before they will issue a SS#. So, we wait.............

Since we are married now, I hope to start posting about the permant filings as soon as we come up with the $435 or whatever it is to do so. Have until Sept. 15th (90 days from when he set foot in the US) to do so. More to come............
