I want so much to learn patois. I just posted my first message in the newbie place. I can't explain what draws me to this culture but I don't think I have to. Maybe I'm just tired and worn. Maybe I'm just prepared to die peacefully but right before I do that I'm going to give it my ALL too.
Maybe that's what I love and want about Jamaica. Maybe there's something about Jamaica that is so True and so powerful that few ever get to experience it. I have long wanted to Know Jamaica, and I don't mean going on a protected cruise either. But for now I have to keep researching Jamaica.... that's all I can do.... and I listen to the music.
It would be a dream if I could find someone to teach me a little patois from time to time. I'm kinda shy and have a horrible accent no matter what the language.
