I've stayed at Pointe Village (right beside Hedonism) before, but I actually just stay at my man's place about a half hour outside Negril.
My favorite places to hang in Negril are the Jungle (love it there!), and Sun Beach. Sun Beach is where a lot of his friends work or hang out and some of my friends are bartenders there. I have a good friend that works at Rick's too and him and I go to the club a lot when I'm there, usually Jungle or Roots Bamboo (my man's not much for the club scene). Or we just hang out at Rick's, but it closes early.
