If you have or had a good marriage you would take married life any day. I was lucky enough to have had a good marriage for a long time. I think I've said it before that he was boring at times, but you have to remember that I was boring at times too. It was the everyday life that was top notch. Now I can speak for the bad marriage because my first one was a bomb and those are not fun to be in.
On the subject of whether women are in charge, etc. it's only if the man lets us be in charge. My good hubby would let me be in charge until he'd had enough of something going on and then he'd take over, for the better I might add. Rarely did he interfere in business or our finances where he knew I could probably do a better job. Conversely I tried to stay out of the things he knew best about, i.e. remodeling our home. Marriage is an ongoing struggle for betterment of both parties and if the two can realize this, there's no stopping what they can accomplish together.
